The Junior Welfare League of York County has entered our 81st year of contributing and making a difference in our community. Once again, We Need Your Help! The JWL ladies are working diligently to partner with local organizations and businesses to provide sponsors like you a chance to have a positive impact and strengthen our community. Each year our members complete over 300 volunteer hours, collect monetary donations and goods within our membership, and network to raise money for the annual Gobble Wobble 5K/8K Race, our large community project.
Our Mission statement focuses on advocacy, health, education and raising awareness of issues within our community. This year we are thrilled to announce the Rock Hill Schools Education Foundation’s Back the Pack Program and Project Hope will be receiving the proceeds from the 2019 Gobble Wobble Race!
These two amazing agencies are focused on reducing the hunger crisis within our community. Rock Hill Schools Education Foundation’s Back the Pack Program provides a bag full of food to students in need on Friday afternoons, ensuring that the student will have access to nourishing meals over the weekend and is able to come to school ready to learn each Monday morning. Project Hope provides crisis assistance in the form of 4.5 TONS of food WEEKLY, life-saving medicine, and utility payments to families in need. Individuals requesting food from Project Hope are given a full week's worth of food based upon family size and the ages of family members.
Here is the 2019 Gobble Wobble Sponsorship Packet with information regarding the sponsorship levels and benefits. We truly appreciate your time in reading this and we hope to count on you as we partner with these amazing charities to serve our community!
