Help Evan raise money

For participating in Scotiabank Calgary Marathon 2020

My Story…

In 2015, I fell down - a lot, and literally – as I was diagnosed with epilepsy. But more importantly, I fell through the cracks. When I needed help the most, it wasn’t there for me, or for my family. While Calgary has world-class neurological health care, Calgary doesn’t currently have the level of social services needed for those impacted by epilepsy – but I, and others, are working hard to put these necessary social services in place. I struggled for years to adjust to my new life with epilepsy. I never want anyone else to fall through the cracks again. It’s why I joined the Board of the Epilepsy Association of Calgary in 2018, it’s why I became the Chair of the Board in 2019, it’s why I’ve pushed major change in the organization, and it’s why I’m running this half-marathon in 2020. I’m aiming to raise $5,000 to help move the Epilepsy Association of Calgary towards becoming a leading epilepsy association in Canada.
