My Story…

I invite you to sponsor me in Tamarack Ottawa’s Virtual Race Weekend with a donation to the Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization (OCISO). These past months, we have all been feeling the impact of COVID-19 on our physical and mental health. For immigrants and refugees to Canada, the stress, financial loss, danger, and isolation have been overwhelming, especially after all they have been through. The demand for OCISO’s counselling services and other forms of support are increasing daily. The Mental Health Program needs our support to carry out their critical work with some of the most vulnerable people in our community. I plan to walk 5 km on May 23 (May 24 rain date) early in the morning to avoid the heat of the day and facilitate social distancing. Thank you for your support!

For the 5th year running, the Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization (OCISO) is launching our “Run for a New Start” fundraiser.

We invite you to join our dedicated team of volunteers who are raising $25,000 for OCISO’s mental health support programs targeting the most vulnerable newcomers, women and youth.

The first 100 runners or walkers who commit to raising $100 will receive our cool “Run for a New Start” Tshirt as a thank you. 

Register to fundraise with us and ensure that refugees and immigrants feel welcomed and supported in our city.

Pour la cinquième année, l'Organisation communautaire des services aux immigrants d'Ottawa (OCISO) lance son projet de collecte de fonds, « Courir pour les réfugiés ».

Nous vous invitons à rejoindre notre équipe de bénévoles qui visent à recueillir 25 000 $ pour les programmes à l`appui de la santé mentale des femmes et des jeunes.

Les 100 premiers coureurs ou marcheurs qui consacrent à ramasser 100 $ recevront un beau t-shirt, en guise de remerciement.
