About the family we're helping with the funds we raise in this event: They are a family of six who fled from violence in their home country, and face xenophobia where they currently live. They do not have a good life.
Your donation will change EVERYTHING for this family!
This event has gone virtual. I will be taking my 5K physically distanced walk on World Refugee Day, Saturday, Jun 20th.
When you give, you'll inspire every step I take, and you'll fuel the work of Trinity Anglican Ottawa and the Ottawa South Committee for Refugee Support as they help this family to come to Canada through Canada's Private Sponsorship of Refugees program.

Description
Your donation to Trinity Anglican Church will fund support of refugees fleeing persecution and/or wore-torn countries. The one year sponsorship of a family or individual provides financial support for accommodation, transportation, food and clothing. The volunteer Committee also assists with integration by securing appropriate education and language training, attending to medical, psychological, and dental needs, seeking employment readiness assistance and engaging in social activities.
