Our story…

March is Endometriosis month. Endometriosis is a condition that affects many women. It is associated with infertility, ovarian cyst and pelvic pain. The cause of endometriosis remains unclear and there is still no cure for endometriosis. In addition, the definite diagnosis of endometriosis still needs surgery. Currently, we are in the process of trying to find markers for endometriosis. It is hoped that in the future one can diagnosis endometriosis from blood samples or tissue from the uterine lining without surgery. We are also investigating the relationship between endometriosis and ovarian and tubal cancer, the role of endometriosis on bowel obstruction, and non-surgical treatment of endometriosis. We invite you to participate in the Walk for Endometriosis. The profit from this event will be used to facilitate our research in endometriosis as outlined above.
