The Race: Run a 5k on New Years Day 2020. Go fast if you want to. Go slow if you want to. Run alone. Run with someone. Run on a treadmill. Run in a neighborhood. Run in a city. Run on the trails. Run the way that makes you feel good. Run where you feel good. You are doing something good for YOU! Something that will make you feel physically, mentally and emotionally happy. So get your joy on, and RUN!
How to submit your results: results are based on the honor system. Fill out your finishing time, by midnight January 1, 2020, HERE.
Prizes: 5 participants will be chosen at random to receive the ebook Running for Mental Health, A How-To Guide by Kjersti Nelson LMFT & Run Coach.
Awards: All participants will receive an e-medal via email.
Join the club: Run for joy on New Years Day, AND take that joy with you and run throughout the year by joining the Run for joy Club (a virtual club) or by joining The Joy Run Club (an in-person club). By joining the club you'll receive quarterly training schedules, with elements of joy, happiness, peace and calm added in. Biannual newsletters with running and mental health tips, stories, and how-tos. Members will have the opportunity to participate in other virtual 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon challenges throughout the year. This club is about self-care, wellness, lifestyle, happiness, oh yeah, and running!
