Virtual Run July 6 -12
In spite of COVID-19, we wanted to find a way to be able to bring our community together - virtually not physically, of course - and still raise much-needed funds in support of RMHC Alberta. So we're putting our most innovative foot forward...we're hosting our FIRST EVER PROVINCIAL EVENT!
Please join us across the province by running and fundraising in your community to support the families who need to stay at a Ronald McDonald House in Alberta.
In 2019, RMHC Alberta served families from 194 communities across Alberta. With this virtual run we hope to reach into every one of those communities that has been touched by RMHC Alberta.
Our Houses in Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, and Medicine Hat are not a nice to have; they are a must have. 1 in 4 Canadians knows someone who has needed to rely on a Ronald McDonald House. Lace up your shoes in support of those families, and let’s see you Hustle for the Houses!

About RMHC Alberta
RMHC Alberta supports families seeking vital medical treatment for their sick or injured child. Over 65% of Canadians live outside of a city centre with a hospital, and must travel long distances for medical reasons. Our Houses in Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, and soon-to-be Medicine Hat provide a home-away-from-home for families, while allowing them the gift of staying together during one of life's most difficult times. A Ronald McDonald House will save families hundreds to thousands of dollars on accommodation, transportation, meals, laundry, parking, and so much more. Having a Ronald McDonald House close to the hospital is an important part of family-centred care.

About the Virtual Run
INCLUDED IN REGISTRATION
- Race Shirt
- The first 1500 individuals who register prior to May 25th will receive a race shirt prior to the run (*this only applies to a paid registration).
- 2020 Digital Finisher Medal
HOW TO COMPLETE THE RACE
- Choose your virtual event and complete a run/walk distance of your choice between July 6th-12th
- Complete your run or walk wherever you want! Outside, on the treadmill, park, or pathways...the choices are endless!
- Whatever the terrain, whatever the environment, wherever you are!
COMPLETION
- We encourage 2020 participants to complete one of the following tasks to prove completion of the fun run!
- Post selfie photo/ video taken during or after the run on Facebook or Instagram
- Post route/time on Facebook/Instagram using GPS App like Strava, Nike Plus etc.
- Fire up Facebook Live during your run
- Set up a Facebook fundraiser with a donate button to your campaign
- Don't forget to tag us!

Race Package Pickup
Race t-shirts and striped socks will be mailed out to participants two weeks prior to the run. We will be notifying you once the shirt have been mailed out with an expected delivery date.

COVID-19
While we are super excited about this virtual run, please be aware of the guidelines set out by Alberta Health Services with respect to proper social distancing when out in the community. We encourage you to run with your family...just please keep at least six feet apart from others when out in your neighbourhood or park!
