Raise money for Kingston Interval House
Domestic violence takes place in our cities and our rural areas, in homes of people at all income levels and in every culture. The average woman returns to her abuser eight times before finally leaving. We chose Kingston Interval House as the beneficiary of fundraising this year because this shocking social problem needs more exposure and attention.
Kingston Interval House provides essential, responsive and empowering services to women,
children and youth who have experienced the impact of violence against women. We seek to
interrupt the cycle of domestic abuse and gender-based violence through the delivery of our
core services, which include:
• Emergency shelter services
• Transitional programs
• Community-based outreach and support services
• Second-stage housing
• Public education, awareness and prevention services
• Community engagement and capacity building
