My Story…
Hi everyone! I'm so excited to be participating in Katie's Run in memory of my twin brother, Scott, for a second year.
For those who didn't have a chance to meet Scott, let me tell you about him!
Scott and I are twins! I'm technically 30 seconds older than him, and I always liked to hold that against him. He enjoyed playing hockey on the Orangeville Wolves team, he loved action movies, playing instruments and driving around on his golf cart with the tunes blaring and no shirt on.
Growing up, Scott experienced myoclonic seizures. These were almost like small jumps. As Scott got older, these seizures were managed and didn't really affect Scott too much. On May 20, 2018 Scott experienced his first tonic-clonic seizure. Eight days later, he experienced his second, and then 10 days later, on June 7, 2018 Scott past away from Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) after his third tonic-clonic seizure.
