In this house we do Epilepsy. We do meds and hospital visits. We do tears and we do pain. We worry and we stress. BUT we also Hope and we Pray. We Persevere and we Fight, and we Never Ever give up. ‘Epilepsy is a central nervous system disorder in which brain activity becomes abnormal causing seizures.’ This definition seems so simple and non threatening but Epilepsy is so much more. Epilepsy is so many things. It’s heartache and fear. It’s life threatening seizures and hours lost. It’s many medications and horrific side effects. It’s sleepless nights. It’s memories lost and regression. It’s pure exhaustion and mental fatigue. It is life changing. It is never ...’just epilepsy’. We have been fighting this disorder for over 8 years.
