Canada Moves Coast to Coast on Global Running Day
Today is Global Running Day. The day we planned to come together to move across Canada. This intention, to run and move together, is as important as it has ever been.
While we still encourage you to run, walk or roll, we invite you to reflect on what's going in our world right now while you are moving. Let's use the kilometres we have pledged, to ask ourselves how we can do better as individuals and as a running community to combat hate, injustice and racism.
In an effort to create space for minority voices that need to be heard, we will not be broadcasting live on Facebook today.
Our charitable partner is the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) and their role is to educate, inform and support. Along with the CMHA, we encourage everyone to use your own social media platforms to share and amplify and champion Black perspectives and voices from Black-led organizations and leaders that promote anti-Black racism.
