Our Story

It takes a village, and right now we need our community more than ever! Please join us in participating in Dougie's Epic Adventure- A Magical Flutie 5K! Collaboratively, we can make a difference in the lives of children and adults diagnosed with autism. We have joined forces with our colleagues to raise money and awareness for Autism Spectrum Disorders, and we need your help! All money raised through this event will go directly back to Amego, Inc. and the hundreds of families we serve. Thank you for your continued support!

Help our team reach our goal for Dougie's Epic Adventure: A Magical Flutie 5K, to raise critical funds for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism to help people and families affected by autism live life to the fullest! 


Former NFL Quarterback, Doug Flutie, and his wife Laurie started the Doug Flutie, Jr. Flutie Foundation for Autism in 1998 after their son, Dougie, was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Their personal experience of raising a son on the autism spectrum inspired them to help others on an equally long and challenging journey. Over its 22-year history, the Flutie Foundation has distributed over $15 million to partner schools and organizations who provide clinical therapies, respite services, recreational programs, social skills training, job supports and more for people and families affected by autism.The Flutie Foundation also provides direct financial support to families through initiatives like education technology tools, adaptive camp scholarships, safety equipment, to provide immediate help where it's needed the most.
