Raise money for American Lung Association
The American Lung Associations mission is to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. As the Trusted Champion in Lung Health for over 115 years, the American Lung Association serves over 36 Million people across the United States battling lung disease. As we work toward supporting those we serve with Asthma, COPD, IPF, lung cancer and now COVID-19 the following four strategic imperatives guide everything we do:
- Defeat lung cancer
- Improve the air we breathe
- Reduce the burden of lung disease on individuals and their families
- Eliminate tobacco use and tobacco-related diseases
Your donations and fundraising efforts will support our Signature Programs such as Asthma Basics, Better Breathers Clubs, Freedom From Smoking, INDEPTH (Youth Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Program), LUNG FORCE Expo’s and our Lung Helpline.
Additionally, donations can help support our new $25M Covid-19 Action Initiative. COVID-19 is a lung disease and the people that we serve are among those most at risk. The American Lung Association is uniquely positioned to make a substantial and rapid impact. As the oldest voluntary health organization in the country, we pioneered the model of using education, advocacy and research to eradicate tuberculosis in the U.S. We will use those same principles to ensure our nation can address today’s pandemic and is prepared to meet the challenges of future respiratory viruses as well.
Humans can survive for 5 weeks without food, 3 days without water, but only 3 minutes without breath. When You Can’t Breathe, Nothing Else Matters.
