My Story…
Our family is participating in the Virtual SCADaddle & Mayo SCAD @Home on October 17th. Due to the pandemic, all in-person SCADaddles have been postponed until 2021. SCADaddles are the biggest fundraisers for SCAD Research, Inc., an all volunteer non-profit started in 2011 by a husband who lost his wife to SCAD and his wife's sister. SCAD Research, Inc. has donated over $980k since to Mayo Clinic's SCAD Research team. Mayo's SCAD team has created a registry with angiograms, medical records, and patient histories without requiring survivors to travel there and recently identified a gene that may predict SCAD. This research will educate and benefit so many, as the underdiagnosed condition is the most likely cause of heart attacks in women under 50, and pregnant and postpartum women. Please join us in walking or running a 5K in solidarity on October 17th or donate if you are able. Thank you for your love and support, especially since July 2017!
Donate to help Sarah raise money for Virtual SCADaddle & Mayo SCAD@Home’s fundraising campaign.
