Help us raise money

This year, Team That's Your Pedo is running in honor of Alfred Luna Jr. and Ruth Fry. Together, we will raise money and awareness to provide job, educational, housing, and mental health resources to formerly gang-involved and incarcerated men and women.

We lost our beloved Alfred in 2009, and sadly earlier this year, on Feb. 13, we lost our matriarch Ruth, who we could not imagine doing this 5K without honoring her. Alfred and Ruth loved Homeboy Industries, and that is why Team That's Your Pedo continues to honor their memory by supporting an organization that empowers people to heal and transform. It is helpful to be mindful that we are all on this life journey together, and none of us are traveling it alone. And that is what Homeboy Industries does for others.

Alfred and Ruth touched so many people's lives and made everyone laugh. Our team name comes from one of Alfred's funniest catchphrases. Alfred would always put a smile on your face with these three words, “That’s Your Pedo”, because life is too short to be negative. Both Alfred and Ruth were such strong and inspirational individuals who made a profound impact on everyone they crossed paths with. Like Homeboy Industries, each loved their community and went above and beyond for everyone around them.
