Help Lucky raise money

Dear Family and Friends, 

Please meet Gurminder Singh Bains, my cousin. In December of 1994 when Gurm was only a young man about to embark on his new journey as an adult, tragedy struck, Gurm was involved in a motor vehicle accident that resulted in a life-changing serious spinal cord injury which left him a paraplegic. This guy was and still is my idol, one of the most genuine, caring and kind guys I have had the honour of meeting in my life.  It has been tough seeing him deal with this injury over the years which has resulted in months and years away from home and in rehab along with countless major surgeries and stays in the hospital. Infact just last year alone, right smack centre of the pandemic, Gurm spent most of 2020 at VGH where he underwent 6 major surgeries, some in which almost took his life. A warrior is an understatement to this Spinal Cord injury survivor. He is still moving forward with a smile on his face although I do question some of his sports team Choices...(Sorry, I had to Gurm) 

In honour of Gurm and all other spinal cord warriors around the globe, I have chosen Spinal Cord Injury BC as my charity of choice for my upcoming Scotiabank Half Marathon in July . I am asking all of my friends and family who know Gurm or anyone affected by spinal cord injury, or anyone who finds this story touching and would like to donate, please click the link below and any amount that you find reasonable will help this meaningful cause.
