Help Daniel raise money

For participating in 2021 Scotiabank Vancouver Half-Marathon & 5K

My Story…

Hey All,

So, I decided to take on the challenge of running in the 2021 Scotiabank Virtual 21.1K Half-Marathon on behalf of Technology for Living (TFL) and its members. I know it will be a grueling test to complete, but I am willing to push myself to finish it. Since breaking my leg back in 2013 I have not ran in large, organized race like this since then and may be a tad out of shape (maybe a lot, haha). However, that is why I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to challenge myself again while supporting a great cause.

I have been working for TFL for just over one and half years as a Biomedical Engineer and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. TFL is a non-profit organization that offers two programs, TIL and PROP, that both aspire to improve home independence for its physically disabled members within BC communities.

All donations made will go towards funding TFL and will help support its members live more independent lives in BC. By donating you are helping to provide members that possess physical disabilities such as muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, and ALS, live a more autonomy life.

Please feel free to share my fundraising page and spread the word! I appreciate any support and/or donations you may offer! I am looking forward to taking on this daunting task.

Thanks,

Daniel

Description

Contributing to Technology for Living is like investing in your neighbours: with one donation, you can advance the independence of several people living with a disability in your home province, impacting individuals and communities from Vancouver to Tumbler Ridge. For someone who can’t open a door on their own, your donation means the world to them. Every dollar helps to increase the autonomy of British Columbians. Thanks to your donations, we can continue providing assistive technology, for British Columbians affected by Spinal Cord Injuries, Muscular Dystrophy, ALS and other diagnoses. Thank you for supporting our work!
