I'm running for Rhino!  

The Ryan Richards Foundation (RRF) was created to honor of my husband Ryan Richards, who died at age 40 from NUT Midline Carcinoma in October, 2015. NUT Midline Carcinoma is an extremely rare aggressive cancer that strikes healthy people without warning.  When Ryan was diagnosed I was 27-weeks pregnant with our first child, Nora.  The utter shock and disbelief of the diagnosis was only made slightly easier with the support of family, friends, neighbors, and strangers. 

The RRF is our way to give back to the love and support received during this difficult time.  Your donation will help support families suffering with cancer, support NUT Midline Carcinoma research at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and fund scholarship to graduating seniors heading off to college.  

Ryan put it, “I ran every road race as fast as I could, because if I paced myself, I wouldn’t be able to make up the time later in the race." With no surprise, he lived his life the same way. In an effort to harness his positive energy and to keep his memory alive, we created The Foundation.  The fundraising efforts for RRF represent Ryan and all that he loved. He was a great husband, dad, son, brother, uncle and best friend to many.

Please consider a donation to my "At-Home" virtual Falmouth Road Race efforts.  A ankle injury sidelined my running this Spring and Summer so I will be doing the race over two days in Scituate.  I'll be on the race course supporting the Ryan Richards Foundation Falmouth Road Race Team on Sunday August 15th.
