Team Eye and Ear Falmouth 2021
The incredible clinicians at Mass Eye and Ear saved by son's vision many years ago. We were on the Cape, as I was running the Falmouth Road Race while my son watched. He watched with a hat and sunglasses on along with several layers of scarves tied around his head, to shield his eyes from sun the pain was so intense (we had been told he had pink-eye). Realizing something was wrong the next stop was a trip to Cape Cod Hospital . Ultimately all roads led us to Mass Eye and Ear where it was determined that my son was suffering from Uveitis, an inflammation of the uvea, causing great pain and discomfort and a condition that if left untreated can lead to blindness. Using a novel treatment approach the experts at Mass Eye and Ear saved his sight and cured the uveitis. We are eternally grateful to those clinicians and proud to support this fine institution and the amazing providers and scientists who are world leaders in their specialties.
