My Story…
Tommy's Place Team 2021- In Loving Memory of Liesl Radzik
As I work to now make this race one of my favorite traditions, I have again decided to run for Tommy's Place in the 2021 Falmouth Road Race. For those unfamiliar, Tommy's Place is a newly renovated vacation home located in Falmouth, MA. The home was specifically made to allow families and friends of children fighting cancer to get away from the hospital for a week and spend a much-deserved vacation down in Falmouth. I recently toured the house and it is simply one of the most amazing things I've seen. Every little detail is there for a specific reason and the creativity of the house is beyond me. I began this tradition running with one person in 2019, my close friend Alison Radzik. We ran in honor of her mom, my greatest family friend, Liesl Radzik. She lost her battle to cancer in April of 2019. But as Liesl would always convey through her actions on this earth, we never go down without a fight, and helping others is a priority. Her memorial motto simply reads, "Because Nice Matters". The Tommy's Place organization has even donated a room in the house to Liesl. Our team of 10 runners this year could not be more excited to run for such a great cause! As always any donation helps, and thank you for all your support!
