Help Deanna raise money

HELLO!

On Sunday, August 15, 2021, I am running the ASICS Falmouth Road Race with Team BMC. It is my personal goal to raise $1500 in support of Boston Medical Center’s (BMC) fight against the opioid epidemic and I am asking for your support!

This will be my first time running as a Team BMC member and I am grateful to have the opportunity to raise money for such an important cause!

Professionally, I have dedicated my nursing career to serve and care for the most vulnerable patient populations, specifically those impacted by addiction and the opioid epidemic.  I am passionate about delivering patient centered care and driving systems change to improve care for the most vulnerable.  

This cause is also very personal to me because I have lost many friends to the disease of addiction.  I have witnessed the effects addiction has on individuals, families and their loved ones, it is heartbreaking to witness.  My personal experiences with addiction have been a primary reason that I am such a passionate patient advocate in my professional role. To see a person or family suffer from addiction is something I hope to end in my lifetime!

As a mother of 4 children, I always want to lead by example and show them the importance of investing your time into the things that are meaningful to you and to always give more than you take, especially to those most in need.
