Help Denise raise money

I am so excited to have the opportunity to run the Falmouth Road Race for the National Brain Tumor Society in honor of my brother, Brian.  Brian is a 12.5 year brain cancer SURVIVOR!  Brian was diagnosed with a GBM (a grade 4 malignant brain tumor) in November of 2008 and given the prognosis of 18 months to live. He had brain surgery to remove the tumor and then participated in a clinical trial at Duke University where he underwent chemotherapy and radiation. In addition, he radically changed his diet and exercise and completed his first (of three!) marathon in 2010.  

I first got involved fundraising for the National Brain Tumor Society in 2009, just 6 months after his diagnosis.  I participated in the Boston Brain Tumor bike ride.  I have participated in this ride for the past twelve years and our since forming our team in 2009, we have raised over $211,000 for the National Brain Tumor Society!  Funds raised here help to direct promising research, support families who are currently coping with the effects of a brain tumor diagnosis, and advocate for change. I have joined this movement to bring the issue of brain tumors to the forefront. Progress is being made, but there is so much more to be done.
