My Story…
Hi All!
In December 2018, I looked at myself and realized that I needed to make some much needed health changes. The week before Christmas, I joined a small group training gym and started making some much needed lifestyle changes. Over the next 2 years I lost 100 pounds! In March 2020, I had surgery which resulted in me not being able to lift anything over 20 pounds for close to 2 months. With my gym closed due to COVID, I looked to running as a source of exercise. I refused to let my weight lifting limitations and COVID ruin the progress I had made. Although I turned to running as a last resort, I found a love for running that I did not knew existed! Since then, I have run multiple virtual 5K's, 10K's, and half marathons and am looking forward to doing my first in-person races.
In February 2021, my cousin Christopher at the young age of 27 passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. He was so young and full of life, and due to cancer he was taken from his wife, family, and friends far too soon. For this race, I will be running in memory of him.
I am so excited to be a part of team Beth Israel Lahey Health for this ASICS Falmouth Road Race and appreciate any donation amount!
