My Story…
I have decided to run the Falmouth Road Race and join "Ellie Fund Team" as a thank you and raise funds for such a wonderful organization.
Last year I was diagnosed with breast cancer; at first I was in denial, it all felt surreal. Eventually it hit me hard and I started to see a social worker at the D'Amour Cancer Center in Springfield, MA. She was wonderful and introduced me to Ellie Fund to get some assistance and ease some of my stress and anxiety so I could focus on my radiation treatments and getting healthy. The help I received from Ellie Fund was God sent. I will be forever grateful!
Gratitude, Faith and Hope have been my companions throughout my journey and even though I am now cancer free (thankful) I still have a long road ahead. I am ready to move on and get healthy. I want to be here for my family and friends for a very long time. Running the Falmouth Road Race also gives me the motivation to run and train every day so I’m able to finish the 5K in August.
I want to thank all my friends and family who are always there for me. A special thanks to my husband , son and daughter, it was not easy for them. They are my ROCKS.
Please consider making a donation, just as I received help when I needed it most, I want to give back and contribute to helping others feel the same relief
