My Story…
Hi everyone! I am so excited to be running my third (and hopefully second in-person) Falmouth Road Race this year to raise money for Soccer Without Borders. Soccer Without Borders uses soccer as a vehicle for positive change, providing newcomer immigrant, refugee and asylee youth with a toolkit to overcome obstacles to growth, inclusion and personal success. Launched in 2012, the Boston chapter of SWB provides free, year-round, after-school programming to 300 newcomer youth in East Boston.
I have been volunteering with SWB for three years, and I am currently an assistant coach for the middle school girls team. After such a challenging year, especially in East Boston, it has been a joy to watch the girls finally get back on the field in their uniforms to play!
SWB offers a truly special community for our players, and I am so lucky to be a part of it. Thank you so much for supporting our team!
