My Story…
Hi everyone!
Thank you for stopping by my fundraising page! I am excited to be running the Falmouth Road Race IN PERSON this year after running it at home in Norton last year. Once again, I am happy to be running on behalf of the Lurie Center for Autism at MGH.
Over the last few years, I've talked about how important the services that Lurie provides are for those families living with autism. This year, I'd like to think about it a bit differently. If you will, please take a moment and think about the last 18 months of your life. I would guess that you probably suffered from cancelled plans, disrupted routines, lack of contact with loved ones, and many other unanticipated obstacles. It wasn't fun!
Now imagine that you are someone who thrives on routine, depends on therapists and teachers to provide you with consistency, and struggles with change. For you, and your family, the changes brought by COVID-19 would be incredibly difficult. Because of this unprecedented situation, the services, programs, and therapies provided by the Lurie Center are even more vital at this time to helping our friends with autism regain their sense of safety, security, and well being.
If you have the means, I'd greatly appreciate any contribution that you can make. If you do not have the means at this time, please send any good thoughts, prayers, or vibes my way on Sunday, August 15th.
Thank you so much!
