My Story…
Dear family, friends, and Soccer Without Borders (SWB) community,
I'm excited to announce that I will be running the Falmouth Road Race for the third year in a row on August 15th!! After completing the At-Home Edition last year, I'm even more excited for this year's in person race on the Cape!
A huge highlight of this past year working at SWB has been youth leadership. Various circumstances throughout the year necessitated I step back allowing for others to step forward. Specifically, I want to name the team captains from the girls program: Cathy, Giselle, Brandy, Amina, Valerie. These young leaders fulfilled their team roles and more...they led all aspects of practice and sometimes the entire thing, participated in team decisions, supported outreach events, and ultimately, helped create greater team cohesion & community!
I'm so excited to leverage this leadership into the upcoming year providing more opportunities for SWB youth to not only be leaders on our teams, but future leaders in our world!
