Hello All!
I'm honored that the first race I will be a part of will be for team MDSC for the Falmouth Road Race on August 15th.
My little sister Thais has Down syndrome and I wanna dedicate this run on my birthday to her! My parents run a non-profit group called Familia Up Down that helps Portuguese speaking families with Down syndrome in the Massachusetts community. They help spread awareness and get families the help and information they need.
I want to follow in my parents' footsteps and help as much as I can. I want my first race to be for a cause I believe in!
By running for team MDSC, I want to help raise money for the Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress that will go towards programs to help individuals with Down syndrome. Programs that will help raise awareness and ensure individuals with Down syndrome are included, valued and given equal opportunities.
