Help Timothy raise money

For participating in The 2021 ASICS Falmouth Road Race

My Story…

I am running the Falmouth Road Race for the Progeria Research Foundation! Progeria is a rapid aging disease caused by a random genetic mutation that affects around 200 children in the entire world.

I have worked at Boston Children's Hospital for the past two years as a study coordinator for the Progeria Clinical Trials. During this time I have seen firsthand the positive impact PRF has made for patients and their families. Last fall, we received approval for the first ever treatment for Progeria- Zokinvy - but we won't stop until we find a cure.

This cause is very personal to me as my friend and high school classmate Sam had Progeria. Sam's courage and zest for life is exemplified in all of the patients, families and healthcare workers that are contributing to the search for a cure, and it drives me to do excel in my work every day. I am so grateful to have to opportunity to work on the BCH team surrounded by so many great minds and mentors, and feel compelled to give back to the cause through this fundraising effort. If within your means, any and all donations are appreciated!
