I am running the Falmouth Road Race this year to help raise awareness and fund research for childhood cancer through a charity close to my heart, Beat Childhood Cancer Foundation in honor of our sweet angel Laurel Pearl Bares. This year is even more special because I get to run alongside two of my best friends Stephanie and Leah (Laurel’s mom).
Laurel Pearl Bares, passed away in 2018 after fighting Neuroblastoma for 14 months. Laurel showed more strength, grace, compassion and love in her short time than anyone I have ever known. I am so blessed to have had the chance to know and love her.
Laurel taught us all so much and I would like to honor her, the Bares family, and all families affected by childhood cancer! No parent should have to say goodbye to their child. Help us raise money for more tomorrow’s.
