My Story…
My name is Maddie Weber I am 16 years old and am so excited to be running in the Falmouth road race again on August 17th to raise money for Empower Her an organization very near and dear to my heart. Empower Her connects young girls who have lost there mothers, and I have been apart of Empower Her over 3 years now.
when I was five my mother passed after an on and off battle with breast cancer. My mother Jackie was an incredibly strong woman who loved me and my brother more than anything. Empower Her offers a community of support and helps me honor my mother by connecting with other girls around my age through our journeys through grief.
since running in the Falmouth road race in 2019 Empower Her has expanded from where it was founded here in Massachusetts to various locations throughout the country, and any donation you are able to give will help better this organization impactful mission. Thank you for your support.

empowerHER® was formed in 2013 with a very specific mission—to empower, support and connect girls and young women up to age 24 who have experienced the loss of their mothers. empowerHER® is a supportive and inclusive community that offers year-round EVENTS for GIRLS that provides peer support and reminds girls they are not alone in their grief. Our MENTOR PROGRAM matches girls and young women with positive role models from the community to show “loss is survivable.”
