My Story...
Anyone who has ever been to the respite center knows that it is unlike anything else. My time at the respite center has included working the after school program, interning in the daycare, and now working both day program and in the group homes. While my position has changed over the years, my view of the respite center has not. The Respite Center is a family. A family of people who love & care fore one another. When Respite reopened in March, that opening day I walked in and said something along the lines of: "this feels like Disneyland"...in reference to Respite being quite literally the happiest place on Earth. I am participating in the Falmouth Road Race this year in hopes to give back to the place that has given me SO much. Here's to the overnights, laughs, corn hole competitions, amazing coworkers, and even better clients:) This one is for them!
Description
Falmouth Road Race fundraising page to benefit The Michael Lisnow Respite Center!
The Michael Lisnow Respite Center is a home away from home for children and adults with disabilities, a place that offers parents time off from the emotional and physical care needed by their children.
100% of the proceeds will benefit the Michael Lisnow Scholarship Fund. This scholarship is awarded to children in our daycare whose families cannot afford services. Every dollar counts!
Thank you so much for your support!
