My Story…

Next Steps.

Every day young adults dealing with life threatening cancers, HIV, sickle cell anemia, and genetic disorders show unimaginable courage and faith by reminding us that life is not about “surviving” a disease, it’s about finding a way to “thrive” with it.

Shattering limitations and exceeding expectations are what we all desire.   Giving witness to young adults for whom that is far more challenging is inspiring - and has been my privilege as a Board member for the past 15 years.
But, never before have I had a more profound understanding of what that means.   As we all sought ways to get the most of our lives while managing through the invisible threat of CoVID - we only had to look at our Next Step heroes for shining examples of resilience and resourcefulness.   And hope.

We adjusted our programs, fundraising efforts, and events - our staff redoubled outreach efforts and you responded more generously than ever before.

Nothing short of a miracle.

So, as we try and remain agile in our ability to serve our community, we are more committed and grateful than ever to our Next Step heroes and to people like you, my family and friends, that support my running year after year.

Know, you have made immeasurable impact on the lives of our participants.

xo,

Beth
