Running the Falmouth Road Race in support of Good Sports

Good Sports is a great organization that gives all kids the lifelong benefits of sport and physical activity by providing equipment, apparel and footwear to those most in need. Through the generous support it receives from a variety of funders, equipment manufacturers and distributors and by working closely with teams, coaches, athletic directors and community leaders throughout North America, Good Sports is able to focus on each organization’s respective hardships by providing donations aimed at fulfilling their specific equipment and apparel needs.

I have several good friends who are active with Good Sports and introduced me to the organization through more traditional fundraising events. I have been an avid runner all of my life and running is something that Olivia and I like to do together. A couple of years ago we ran a half marathon in memory of my niece to raise money and awareness for a cause that means a lot to our family. We have been seeking another cause we can support as a shared adventure, so when we learned of the chance to run the iconic Falmouth Road race together for charity we jumped at the opportunity. 

Fortunately, we’re honored to have been chosen to join the Good Sports team and we are hoping that with your support we can surpass our ambitious fundraising goals. We’ll be running this scenic 7-miler on the Cape on August 15th so our training is now underway.
