Hope and I, are running the 2021 Falmouth road race to raise money for the National Brain Tumor Society's Gray Nation Endurance team. This organization is very important to my family and me because it provides support and services to people affected by brain tumors.
In January of 2020 my mother and Hope sister Patricia Schrmack at the of age 61 suffered a Grand mal seizure. While in UMASS Medical Center Neuro ICU she underwent numerous testing which resulted in the cause's her having partial paraylsis and frequent seizures. Even though this year and half has been very challenging for her and the family. She still continues to fight and the good fight.
We are running this race for brain tumor survivors like my mother who are unable to run themselves. We hope to raise awareness as well as money for Brain Tumor Society so that they can continues to help people like my mother and Hope's sister recover for these devastating diagnosis.
