My Story…
Thank you for visiting Team Needy Fund’s Falmouth Road Race webpage! I am running the "Home Edition" of the Falmouth Road Race with the team again this year and would greatly appreciate your support to help Cape Codders facing temporary financial hardship. I'll run a 7-mile course in and around Osterville again this year. There is an option to run the Falmouth course on August 15, but I decided to let things air out a bit longer before packing in shoulder-to-shoulder at the Woods Hole start line. I am hoping for a very big “in-person” race for the Needy Fund team next year in celebration of The Falmouth Road Race’s 50th Anniversary - please consider joining the Needy Fund team in 2022 (never too early to recruit!)
Those supporting my run last year were extremely generous during that time of unprecedented uncertainty and need – your contributions totaled over $5,000 - thank you! You helped the Needy Fund meet a wide range of needs throughout a challenging year - I am grateful for your wonderful support.
This year, the needs on Cape Cod continue, particularly with the crazy real estate market limiting available and affordable housing on Cape Cod. When costs for rent and mortgage expenses escalate, there’s less money for utilities, daycare, medicine, car insurance and any number of other regular expenses breaking the budgets of those living on the financial edge. The Needy Fund is a smart way to put your charitable contributions to work to help these Cape Codders stay in their own homes, have food in their cupboards, reliable transportation to get to work, heat in the winter and medicines to heal. The Needy Fund’s goal is to help those in need to remain a part of a strong, healthy community – we appreciate you sharing in that goal.
Thank you for supporting the Needy Fund.
Be well, friends!
Peter
