My Story…
About Me
Hi, I'm Matt. I live in Somerville, MA, and I'm a volunteer soccer coach with Soccer Without Borders in Boston.
I've been playing soccer for as long as I can remember. I've stuck with it for so long because it's helped me meet people from around the world, make good friends, and learn about myself. I'm running in the 2021 Falmouth Road Race because I believe Soccer Without Borders gives kids the chance to experience this for themselves, and I want to help share this with as many people as I can.
About Soccer Without Borders
Soccer Without Borders (SWB) uses soccer as a vehicle for positive change, providing newcomer immigrant, refugee, and asylee youth with a toolkit to overcome obstacles to growth, inclusion, and personal success. Launched in 2012, the Boston chapter of SWB provides free, year-round, after-school programming to 300 newcomer youth in East Boston.
You can learn more about Soccer Without Borders on their website here.
