I'm honored to be running the Falmouth Road Race for Maddie's Promise, as they work to fund impactful, life-saving research towards rare pediatric cancer treatments. 

Madelyn “Maddie” McCoy made a promise to help others. Until the very end, she was living up to it — creating artwork and a plan to sell it to help those in need. Using her bravery and kindness as inspiration, Maddie’s Promise strives to make Maddie’s next chapter one of positive change for young children battling enormous odds. 

Unlike many adult cancers, rare pediatric cancers have barely moved the needle in terms of emerging treatments. For instance, the rhabdomyosarcoma prognosis has been the same since 1980. Lacking financial support by big businesses that prioritize profitability in numbers, breakthroughs are waiting in the sidelines. Maddie’s Promise is not only highlighting this problem; they are part of the solution, actively funding real and potentially very impactful research.
