Help Susan and Maggie raise money

Susan Marshall and Maggie Wade (aka Margret, Peg 😊) are proudly running the 2021 Falmouth Road Race for The Joe Andruzzi Foundation (JAF) as Team Canton (Young & Old) 2021. 

This is the 2nd time Maggie will be running for JAF and the 2nd time Susan will be attempting to run for JAF (after breaking bones in her ankle thanks to the stairs at The Flying Bridge in Falmouth in 2019) 

Like most people we know, we have each witnessed the devastation that a cancer diagnosis can have on a patient and their loved ones. Cancer impacts a patient in SO many ways - most significantly - medically, emotionally, and financially. 

Team Canton has chosen to join Team JAF at the Falmouth Road Race this year to raise critical funds & awareness for the often hidden impact of cancer - the tremendous financial burdens and barriers that accompany a diagnosis. Over 70% of cancer patients report experiencing significant financial distress during treatment - impacting their ability to pay for basic necessities like food, housing, electricity and transportation. These patients and families are our neighbors, colleagues and friends. This distress and the accompanying financial barriers have only deepened due to the social and economic impact of COVID. 

By supporting our Team - you will play a major role in ensuring that a local family facing cancer can keep a roof over their head, with food on the table, and the lights on.
