School the World is a community-driven nonprofit committed to solving extreme poverty through the power of education.
We believe that by working together we can create a world where every child has the quality education they deserve. That is why we work both on the ground in poverty stricken communities who have little to no access to education, as well as right here in the U.S., providing students, families and corporate teams the opportunity to create change.
Our strategy is to work at the grassroots level, organizing communities around education from early childhood through adolescence. Our Global Citizenship Program amplifies our impact at home & abroad.
Everyone, working together, towards making our world a more just place.

COVID-19: Last year, we immediately pivoted our programming to meet the new needs of our communities; distance learning. Homes in these rural communities do not have books let alone electricity. Children were sent home with nothing.
Through our new programs School the World Radio, a Virtual Teacher Training Course, a Book Exchange Program and WhatsApp support Groups for our scholarship recipients, we made sure children in rural Central America could continue to learn while at home. 2021 Plans: Through our 2021 Project Equity Initiative we will mitigate the learning losses caused by COVID-19 school closures with A Tablet In Every Home, Phone Tutoring in Guatemala, Peer to Peer Tutoring in Honduras, an extensive Virtual Teacher Training Program focused on "catch-up" skills and more!
