Help us raise money

For participating in The 2021 ASICS Falmouth Road Race

Our story…

One Summit was founded in Boston by Adam La Reau, as a result of his experience serving as a Lieutenant Commander, U.S. Navy SEAL and losing his mother to breast cancer in 2004 during his first deployment. After volunteering with a variety of cancer-related organizations, Adam realized that young kids battling cancer face an especially unfair fight and that a mentor could help them build the courage and strength required to tackle the disease. Adam knew the skills embedded in U.S. Navy SEALs could even the odds.

One Summit builds resilience in kids battling cancer through 1:1 mentorship with a Navy SEAL, storytelling and community engagement. Through our signature Climb for Courage program experiential learning takes place in the form of indoor rock climbing. Through this adventure, we induce challenges that empower children to achieve growth through conquering adversity. The long-lasting relationship they form with their Navy SEAL mentor inspires the hope and resilience each little warrior needs to continue in their fight.
