I'm running my first 10k (two this month, actually), and surprise, surprise I'm also fundraising for www.CMETrust.org! I'm excited - I started running the first week of lockdown for 30 minutes (run a minute, walk a minute) every other day, and worked up from there :) I'm so grateful that my body's cooperated, and honestly wonder if I would have survived the past year without this new outdoor activity in my life!
Now it's time to pay it forward... Covid has resulted in most Kenyan students having lost nearly an entire year of their studies and CMETrust scholars, alumni and families having to constantly adapt, and attempt to make the most of this unprecedented and extremely difficult situation - they showed up in spades!
