At the end of March, my Mom (who has one of the most beautiful hearts ever!) had a form of Heart Attack called SCAD. This is an extremely misdiagnosed Heart Attack which targets young, healthy women with no existing heart conditions.
As a result, she was hospitalized at the Ottawa Heart Institute for a week, and due to Covid, no visitors were allowed. Coming from an extremely tight knit family, this already unbearable situation was made harder. After speaking to my Mom on the phone every day, I was assured she was in the kindest and most capable hands possible, and that brought my family some peace to the situation.
My goal is to raise $500.00 for the Ottawa Heart Institute so that other families going through similar situations are also able to find some peace.
I encourage you to research more information about SCAD so that hopefully it won't be misdiagnosed for much longer.
