The Indigenous Marathon Foundation

The Indigenous Marathon Foundation (IMF) is a health promotion charity with DGR status, established by Rob de Castella in 2009, that uses running to celebrate the resilience and achievement of Indigenous Australians and to create inspirational Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders.

Funds raised through events like this are crucial in enabling us to continue our work in the community.

Help empower young Indigenous women and men to make positive change in their lives and to develop into inspirational beacons of hope in their local communities – promoting the benefits of health and well-being.

Donate $20 - Support a child receive a health assessment

Through the community health initiative, IMF conducts health checks and hosts colour fun runs in communities across the country. Your contribution will help early detection of any major health concerns in children childhood in remote Indigenous communities.

Donate $50 - Help deliver a Community Fun Run

Help cover the costs of hosting a fun run in one of 50 communities around Australia. IMF provides event kits to grassroot running and walking groups so they can deliver these community events. Kits include: race prizes and medals, bibs, colour powder, course markers & event signage, first aid kits, refreshment stations, associated permits and fees.

Help an IMF Deadly Run Leader complete their level 1 Coach Accreditation.
