My Story…
Hey there friend :) Thanks for clicking on over here! Running has helped me in so many ways, both in physical and mental fitness. I decided to manifest my love for it into something concrete as a fun activity to keep me busy this summer! I started training for the half marathon in March, but noticed things were going really well. So well in fact that I have decided to go for the full distance! Now, of course running for the sake of it is a great thing, but a voice inside of me was saying there is more good that can be done here. After some deliberations I have decided to not only run for myself, but also in support of an amazing non-profit that I am very passionate about.
The Rainbow Resource Centre is an amazing place that provides the 2SLGBTQ+ community of Winnipeg with valuable support in the form of counselling, education, and programming for individuals of all ages! Their youth program has a fun summer camp that provides a safe space to learn new skills, create projects, and celebrate identities. I will be collecting donations in support of all my brothers, sisters, theyers, iters (+ any other way you identify as) and keeping them in my heart as I cross that finish line!
Along with my fitness updates that I post to my Instagram to keep me accountable, I will also will interviewing people who have been affected by the RRC and sharing their stories.
