1. What is the goal of the VINE TRAIL Month of Movement Challenge?
The goal of the VINE TRAIL Month of Movement Challenge is two-fold: to encourage our VINE TRAIL community to get outside and get moving by walking, hiking, running or cycling on the VINE TRAIL or anywhere; and to offer lightly competitive peer-to-peer & team-based fundraising to help build the VINE TRAIL. (18.5 miles done, 28.5 to go!)
2. Who can join the Challenge?
Anyone can sign up to participate. Whether you live in Napa, Nashville or anywhere in between, get moving, log your miles, and earn virtual badges and high-fives along the way.
3. How much does it cost to join the Challenge?
Three registration levels offer a variety of personal challenges and SWAG rewards:

4. Can I join the Challenge after the start date?
Yes, you can join at any time during the month of May.
5. How do I log my miles?
Once you’ve registered on this Challenge website, you can log your miles, check-up on friends, and see how other individuals and teams are performing. All miles are honor system-based -- no high-tech equipment required. To log your miles, click on your Profile. You will see a button that says "ADD ACTIVITY" - click the button, log your miles.
Here’s a brief five-step guide:
Step One: Sign In to Race Roster

Step Two: Use the dropdown Menu to click “Dashboard”
Step Three: Click “Add an Activity”
Step Four: Choose your activity from the dropdown menu:
Step Five: Enter your miles and click “Submit Activity”
6. Am I required to fundraise during the Month of Movement Challenge?
No. If you decide to fundraise—and we hope you do—you can set your own dollar goal on your personal fundraising page or you can join a fundraising team and support their efforts.
7. Can anyone create a team?
Yes, teams can be created by anyone. There are two types of teams.
1) Sponsored Team
2) Non-Sponsored Team
Sponsored Teams receive marketing and event benefits, 10 complimentary registration passes, and additional Challenge perks. Sponsored Teams pay a $2,500 sponsorship fee. (To become an official sponsor, please contact Ashley - ashley@ridenapavalley.com.
There is no team fee for Non-Sponsored Teams. You can create a team during your registration and invite your friends to join. All team members must pay individual registration fees.
8. How do I join a team?
Upon registering, you will be asked if you would like to join as an individual or as part of a team. You can join any team you’d like. Some teams may have fundraising goals as part of their Challenge mission.
9. What are the competition categories during the Month of Movement Challenge? And what can I win?
There 3 key Team competition categories and 2 Individual competition categories:

10. How do I know who is leading in each category?
The Challenge website has 3 primary leaderboards:
-TEAM FUNDRAISING
-INDIVIDUAL FUNDRAISING
-MILES MOVED
11. How do we equal the playing field for cyclists, walkers and runners when it comes to calculating miles moved?
Need not worry, we’ve created our very own “Mileage Equalizer” a ratio that allows us to equate walking and running miles versus cycling miles
12. When are winners announced and what are the rewards?
Individual and team winners will be announced on June 12th at the LOCO-MOTION LIVE virtual event.
