Event site in Park located near Shelter Bldg. # 6
Parking: Use the large parking lots located on each side of the Park Island peninsula ( see these locations on course map posted , scroll down)
PARK ACCESS - IMPORTANT - PLEASE REVIEW:
Both Park entry gates will be closed during the event is taking place ( runners/walkers on course ) to provide better safety for participants.
Please use the Downs Blvd. from Veterans Blvd. entrance to access the park - Race event site. The West Napoleon access gate will be closed
Arrive prior to 7:30 am. After that time the Downs Blvd., gate will be closed with access by way of Event PASS only.
Copy and print ACCESS PASS, place on dashboard. ( Scroll down to view and print )
Run/Walk begins at 8:00 am at that time no access to park permitted out of safety for those on the run/walk course.
Once inside the park, please do not exit any of the parking lots until all 5K participants are finished. Estimated completion time is 9:30 am
Appreciate your courtesy and support to make for a more safer run/walk environment.
Race Day Schedule:
7:00 am - Race day Registration and Packet Pickup opens
8:00 am - Start of the Kid's Dash ( * Distance is 1/8 mile / 250 yards )
8:10 am - Start of 5K Runner Division - A ( pace of 5.00 to 9.00 per Mile )
8:12 am - Start of 5K Runner Division - B ( pace of 10.00 per Mile and up )
8:15 am - Start of 5K Walkers Division ( all walkers both competitive and fitness )
* Due to group division start times. All scoring will be utilizing net chip times.
Entry fees:
5K or Kid's Dash: ( age 18-64 ) $20.00 by February 1st, $25.00 by March 1st, $30.00 by March 14th, $35.00 Day of Race
5K or Kid's Dash: Youth ( 17-under ) or Senior ( 65-over ) $15.00 by March 14th , $20.00 on the day of race
5K or Kid's Dash Virtual Run/Walk registration: $20.00 by Feb 1st, $25.00 by March 1st, $30.00 by March 14th
*VIRTUAL Event SWAG ( T-Shirt, Medallion, Race Number bib ) will be mailed to Virtual Run/Walk entrants. SWAG is scheduled to be mailed out on March 22nd. Please allow 2-3 weeks to receive. Address shipped to will be address per your registration
All entry fees are non refundable. Should COVID regulations cancel LIVE event, all registrations will be transferred to a VIRTUAL type event.
ON-LINE registration closes on March 14th at 11:00 pm. * Commemorative T-Shirts available in Unisex Youth and Adult sizes and Ladies style. Ladies Style T-shirts are available to entrants registered by March 10th only. After that date and for all registered thru day of race T-shirt type is unisex . Please scroll down to review important information and size specifications for the ladies style t-shirts. All pre-registered entrant t-shirts along with bib number are packaged in envelope with name label on outside. Our goal is to package the correct t-shirt size chosen for each pre-registration entrant.

CHIP TIMED EVENT: Please wear your bib number on front only, visible during run/walk.
TIming chip affixed to back side of race number bib. Do not bend or remove. Check name label on bib at pickup to confirm it is yours.
AWARDS: * Custom Medallions to all finishers in 5K & Kid's Dash
5K: 1st and 2nd Overall Male and Female , 1st Masters Male and Female
5K: Age Group Divisions ( 1st , 2nd place ): 14-under , 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-over
Race Walkers 5K: 1st, 2nd, 3rd overall male and female
Kid's Dash Awards: Top 10 Male and Female age 17-under
RANDOM PRIZE AWARDS will be given out on day of race. On day of race remove your perforated Random Award Tab on bottom section of your bib number and place in designated random drawing container. An event committee member will pick out tabs and random and post on bulletin display board. Upon finishing the 5K, check winners board to see if you win too !!

NOTE: Information as per government guidelines as applied to the date of this event.
NORSI/NOLArunning.com encourages all entrants and spectators to consider the following:
- Wear a face mask when at race site except during the time that you are participating in the run/walk on the course.
- Observe social distance ( 6 feet separation ) and be respectful of others as well as let others know if not using proper social distance as required on date of event.
- Before you leave to attend the event, should you feel ill and/or run a fever please consider staying home
- Do not congregate in groups of more than 10
- Pre-race day packet pickup ( see details posted on registration page ) is encouraged to minimize day of race packet pickup crowding. Registration will be available at pre-race packet pickup locations to minimize day of race registration crowding.
- Do not gather at the start area until near the posted start time. Pending COVID status we may start in grids.
- Upon completion, please put your mask back on and continue to the post race festivities area.
- For your own safety consider bringing your own water bottle, hand sanitizer.
NORSI / NOLArunning.com staff and volunteers will be wearing masks and if distributing any food / beverage items will be wearing gloves
Water stations on course will be stocked with bottled water and water in cups ( you decide ) all volunteers will be wearing masks and gloves at each station. Please use trash containers placed near each station ( Keep your course clean )
