The Black Bear Half Marathon is back for its second year! This in-person half marathon winds through Hendersonville, NC (near Asheville) on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021. There is also a Virtual Half Marathon running option for runners not able to attend the in-person event.
The Black Bear Half offers a scenic, mostly flat course along the Oklawaha Greenway. With less than 400 feet of elevation gain and a socially distanced setup, you won’t want to miss it! All in-person participants will receive a commemorative medal after the race! You'll also get a free shirt if you register by September 27th at midnight. After that, the shirts will be available for $15 online. Virtual participants will receive a free shirt/medal in the mail as well.
