Headache on the Hill Walk, Run or Just Relax Event

Many migraine advocacy non-profits are coming together to host a fundraiser for the Alliance for Headache Disorders Advocacy (AHDA) annual Headache on the Hill (HOH) event. This will be a virtual walk, run or just relax event that you complete from your home town at a time that works best for you between June 2-10, 2021. Remember, our events are not just for walkers and runners. You complete your walk, your run or your own "just relax" activity at a time and place that works for your schedule.
All funds raised will benefit AHDA to support their annual Headache on the Hill event and provide some scholarship funds to support advocate travel needs.
One of the requests that our 2021 HOH advocates are working on is more funding to support equitable access to specialty care for our veteran community. In 2018, through AHDA's advocacy efforts, $10 million was secured to start up to 5 VA Headache Centers of Excellence around the US. These sites provide specialty care for veterans impacted by TBI, migraine and headache disorders and do research on these disorders. As of this year, there are 14 of these locations around the country and we are working to secure an additional $25M in funding to open 14 new sites (a total of 28) around the country.
We will mail you out your swag bag for receipt before June 1st (if you sign up after May 25th, the bag will be mailed on June 11th) that includes your participant shirt and finisher medal. There may be a few other goodies included too! NOTE: For participants outside the US, there will be an additional $15 shipping fee to cover the extra cost.

We recommend 5K as a goal, but if that is too much, feel free to only do what works for you! If you aren't up for walking, running or physical movement at all, that's OK too. Take part in a self care activity instead. We will send you a participant shirt and medal
