In Support of The Michael Garron Hospital - Front Line Workers!
Race Proceeds ensure MGH can continue to provide excellent patient care by allowing the hospital a flexible source of funding that can be quickly directed where it's needed most. Net proceeds from your registration fee, and if possible, a donation to Michael Garron Hospital, is a gift to the entire East Toronto community - because when people are healthy, everyone around them benefits.

Michael Garron Hospital Foundation
Nestled in the heart of East Toronto, Michael Garron Hospital (MGH) is a vibrant community teaching hospital serving one of Canada’s most diverse communities. For nearly 90 years, we have delivered high-quality, patient-centred healthcare services to more than 400,000 people in 22 distinct neighbourhoods, from welcoming a new life to facing the end-of-life. East Toronto is one of Canada’s most diverse communities, with more newcomers, children, elderly people living alone, and refugees than elsewhere in the city. And just as diverse as the faces in the hospital’s hallways are the healthcare needs of our community. We are proud of our strong community, clinical, research and academic partnerships, including the University of Toronto, Sunnybrook Health Sciences, The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), Centennial College, George Brown College, Michener Institute, Ryerson University and York University.
Michael Garron Hospital Foundation raises funds and engages our community in support of our hospital. A donation to Michael Garron Hospital is an investment in the prosperity of each and every person living in East Toronto. When members of our community are healthy, they are able to reach their full potential and better contribute to their family, neighbourhood, and ultimately, Canadian society.
The Heart of the East is Michael Garron Hospital Foundation’s $100-million fundraising effort in support of a healthier East Toronto - in particular, the $500-million transformation of the hospital campus. With your support, we will ensure our facility meets the needs of our diverse and often under-served community, accelerate research and learning, and elevate the patient care experience. Supporting the Heart of the East means supporting the well-being of our vibrant community. Because when people are healthy, everyone around them benefits.
